Direct fabrication of a CuFeO2/Fe photocathode for solar hydrogen production by hydrothermal method

CuFeO2 is a promising photocathode material for photoelectro-chemical water splitting. In this study, a hydrothermal method was used for the first time to directly fabricate CuFeO2 films on an Fe substrate, and the prepared films worked as photocathodes. To enhance the performance of CuFeO2 photocathodes, it is important to optimize their film thickness and surface morphology.
