Creating architectural design as common resource and modelization of its development process: A case study of MOKU-CHIN RECIPE

Abstract

The study is aimed to propose a new design method in order to develop architectural design as common resource for multiple stakeholders. We will focus on "MOKU-CHIN RECIPE" which is a design tool that opens up renovation ideas for old wooden Japanese apartment known as Mokuchin. Here we report 1) the outline and its background of MOKU-CHIN RECIPE, 2) the framework and development process of each renovation ideas and its results and finally, we modelized the development process of MOKU-CHIN RECIPE in order to make it applicable to other practice domain.
