Cooperative monitoring multiple humans using UAVs and fixed camera

Abstract

The cooperative monitoring system using UAVs and fixed cameras is proposed for monitoring multiple humans in a particular area. In the proposed system, the UAVs pursue the humans who are not photographed by the fixed cameras to identify them. Fort the efficient pursuit, observation points of UAVs should be minimized. Based on the Image Information Added Map, the observation area for a person is determined. As for the necessary condition, one picture for each person should be taken. The optimization problem is solved by a set covering problem. The proposed algorithm is implemented on simulation and simulation results are shown.
