AccuWiSe: Accurate wireless vital sensing system for a group of exercisers-system performance

Abstract

Now, we are developing an infrastructureless multihop wireless network system named 'AccuWiSe: Accurate Wireless vital Sensing,' which can collect vital information such as heart rate (HR), energy expenditure (EE) and body temperature (BT) from tens of exercisers spread in a sports ground periodically, reliably and in real-Time. In this paper, as one of the core techniques in AccuWiSe, we explain the principle of the flooding/time division multiple access (TDMA) networking protocol and present the experimental result on the vital data collection rate for 22 footballers in a game.
