A Proposal of a Transverse Flux Small Wind Power Synchronous Generator

Abstract

This paper presents design of the model and the analysis with finite element method (=FEM) compared to theoretical calculation. Magnetic flux of a transverse flux small wind power synchronous generator is produced perpendicular to the direction of rotation. This structure can get higher specific torque and output per unit volume and be designed smaller. It is assumed to be applied to small wind turbine.
